Name vs. Typ
Könnte mir z.B. vorstellen name=Rosinenbomber, description=Douglas C-47 Skytrain, aircraft:type=cargo. --Reneman (talk) 08:54, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I think the use of aircraft:type=* as described here is rather unfortunate as it combines aircraft role and aircraft method of lift in one cathegory, in other words, is a civilian (not civil) version of an Mi-8 an aircraft:type=helicopter, or aircraft:type=transport? Also, using aircraft:type=* this way only leaves the name=* tag for the aircraft type, leaving no place for the actual name of the particular plane, if it has one - e.g. WWII bombers were routinely named by their crews and quite a few of these planes ended up in museums.
- How about this:
- aircraft=fixed_wing|helicopter|aurogyro|tiltrotor|ekranoplan|...
- aircraft:role=fighter|bomber|airliner|transport|reconnaissance|experimental|general_aviation|...
- aircraft:type=* - e.g. MiG-25, Bf 109, B-2 Spirit, ...
- aircraft:manufacturer=* - e.g. Mikoyan-Gurevich, Messerschmitt, Northrop/Grumman, ...
- name=* e.g. Endeavour, Spirit of St. Louis, Enola Gay, ...
- ?
- Sorry for writing this in English - my German is passive at best and the tagging isn't described in this much detail on the English wiki. Michalfabik (talk) 18:04, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
