Attribution text is set in the Footnote style, the most appropriate text style for legal text on the platform (and one of the smallest text styles). With the Larger Text setting increased to xxxLarge, the text is displayed at 19 points.
"Contains data © OpenStreetMap" is displayed in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. "© OpenStreetMap contributors" is displayed in English, Spanish, Tagalog, Greek, and Vietnamese, based on openstreetmap-website translations. These strings have been proposed in the Draft Attribution Guideline.
In Spanish, Tagalog, Greek, and Vietnamese, "© OpenStreetMap contributors" would require truncation or line wrapping. In Spanish and Vietnamese, "Contains data © OpenStreetMap" would require truncation or line wrapping, and in English it comes quite close to the same situation.

"Releasing work to public domain" has some issues, as it is not well defined in some jurisdictions and/or it is not actually possible to "release to public domain". Using CC0 license achieves the intended effect while avoiding such problems and is well suited for media files.
