Dog shaped shoe scraper. Beér Villa (Beér-Schandl Villa) on the south slope of Gellért Hill. Built for four flat, now seven flats are there. Externally, the original shape has been well preserved, but inside there have been a number of remodelling. Architect: Dávid Jonás. Built in 1920. Construction: Magalit Construction Company (Est. 1910s). Builder/investor: Oszkar Beer. Beér family sold this property to the Schandl family in 1929. Owners: Oscar Beer (Beér) was the board member of the First Tokaj Cognac Factory, board member of the Magyar, Fémipar Szerelvény és Pincegazdaség Gépgyár RT. (~Hungarian, Metals Assembly and Cellar Farming Machinery Factory) and owner of multiple tenement buildings. Károly Schandl (1882-1972) jurist, Secretary of State for Agriculture, member of the Upper House, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Central Credit Union, emigrated to the United States in 1956. On the back façade there is a terrace, in the back garden there is a marble-clad fountain/well with a date of 1852. The main eingang located at streetside terrrace and from the the vestibule/hall room served access to varied parts of the building. The roof/loft partly remodelled to flat in the 1980s. Made with brick walls, iron beam holders, reenforced concrete ceilings, wooden fensters/doors. On the next plot stand the Count Wenckheim Villa (mezzaine + one storey its corner two storey, built before 1920s) now replaced by the moodern Finnnish Embassy building. After 1950, the house was confiscated, nationalized, and a passport office was opened in it. In 1968, a 1,500 square meter portion of the plot was purchased by the Finnish state after lengthy negotiations and attached to the embassy's plot.Participant of Budapest100 (2021) event - 16B-18 Kelenhegyi Street, Szentimreváros neighbourhood, 11th district of Budapest.

Az 1919-20-ban épült villa a Gellért-hegy déli lejtőjén, a Kelenhegyi út egy kanyarjában található. Szabadon álló elrendezésű, szimmetrikus tömegű, részben alápincézett, földszint, emelet és tetőtér beosztású. Lejtős terepen fekszik, a pince ezért a keleti oldalon kilóg a földből. A Kelenhegyi úti bejárat mellett egy lépcsőépítmény található, melyet ifj, Francsek Imre tervezett. Érdekesség: a padlásfeljáró belső oldalán megtalálható a régi közművesek kéményseprők aláírásai. Az épület közeklében volt a Svéd Nagykövetség épülete /Minerva utca 3/. A német megszállás idején az ellenállási mozgalom része volt(?) A Schandl család részt vett a zsidó családok mentésében. Épülettervező: Jónás Dávid. Építés éve: 1920. Kivitelező: Margalit Andor és Ödön Építő Vállalat (Alapítva: 1910-es). Építtető/beruházó: Beér (szül. Beer) Oszkár †1932 az első tokaji „cognacgyár” (Erste Tokajer Cognac-Fabrik) igazgatósági tagja, több bérház tulajdonosa. A villát 1929-ben vette meg az építtetőtől dr. Schandl Károly és neje Az 1980-as években a kertben Kelenföldi Közért Vállalat élelmiszerboltot üzemeltetett a garázs épületben. Híres lakók: Gálfi János, (1934–1997) bűvész, konferanszié, előadóművész, tévés személy; Fekete Nagy Béla festő, grafikus, gépészmérnök! (1905-1983) a Szocialista Képzőművészek Csoport tagja ÉS fia Fekete János festőművész is itt lakott. Az épület a Budapest100 2021 résztvevője volt.
