Summary

Description

Nebo Loop Road collapses above The Grotto, below Payson Lakes. An approximately 50-foot section of Nebo Loop Road has collapsed due to moving earth underneath the road, making the way impassable. April 2016.

“Basically what happened is the ground underneath the road was so saturated with water that the weight of the road just collapsed and so fell about 5 feet down and cracked all that asphalt,” said George Garcia, district ranger for the Spanish Fork Ranger District.
