A disposição da costa no extremo sudoeste - tomando as mais variadas aparências, mudando de colorido, abrindo-se em fojos e grutas, fazendo-se acompanhar, no mar, por todo um cortejo de leixões e bem batida pelo vento - é, certamente, uma das imagens mais fortes e duradouras deste Parque Natural daí a escolha das arribas marinhas para seu símbolo.
