English: Traffic lights at Llandrinio bridge The bridge over the Severn at Llandrinio is very narrow and traffic lights have been installed to control the traffic. The bridge was regarded as a strategic point in the 2nd World War and was fortified against invasion. The concrete blocks are anti-tank devices and probably formed part of a chain of defences along the Severn to stop Germans advancing from the east. |
