remove "node" and "way"
It would be good to replace "node" and "way" with the icons we use for them, so the image could be used in other languages. maro21 21:58, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Node & way mean the same thing within OSM in all languages.--DaveF63 (talk) 22:36, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not exactly. For example in Polish it is "węzeł" and "linia", in Russian "точка" and "линия", in German "Knoten" and "Linie". maro21 10:50, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
Incorrect tagging
Thank you for also converting this illustration to OSM Carto style! But please add landuse=railway and name=* alongside railway=station when it's mapped as an area. Please also correct platform numbering, so that they reflect their neighbouring track numbers (currently they are numbered the opposite way). And please merge platforms (currently called) 1 and 2 because they would be a single object in real world. Also, please either move railway=stop nodes to the middle of the tracks, or add their pairs to the opposite sides of the station as well, with appropriate direction=* tags, because on most tracks trains can stop in both directions. (I know that the railway=stop Wiki page wasn't clear about this when you made the illustration, but I've corrected that now.) Thank you in advance! Gymate (talk) 14:44, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- For added context, if one wants to separate the ref=* of a single island platform, one use railway=platform edge instead. --ManuelB701 (talk) 19:02, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
