GpsMaster uses extensions (as defined in the GPX Schema) to store additional information, especially such retrieved from files in other formats, like NMEA or CPO. To to structure this information, the following XML namespaces are used:

• gpsm: GpsMaster-specific values (i.e. color)
• nmea: additional data from NMEA-specific sentences, apart from GPS sentences (i.e. WAA, WPL, ...)
• fl: performance data as delivered by the Forumslader battery charger for bicycles.
• hrm: sensor data as delivered by heart rate monitors like chest belts, sport watches, bio harnesses etc.
