Monuments, memorials, and monumental architecture always have an origin in the development phase. In order to better differentiate and classify monuments, this optional additional day can provide information. Since this tag refers to the time the monument was built, it does not necessarily also represent the current status.
How to map
Add the tag monument:genesis=* to the monument and decide, e.g. with the help of the Wikipedia entry, what triggered the creation of the monument, what character or origin the monument had or what time it comes from. As always, these are just suggestions because ultimately the rule is "any tags you like".
