Lima is a department in Perú at latitude 11°48′11.12″ South, longitude 76°41′48.88″ West.

Description

Lima is a departament of Peru. This city is the largest and capital of Perú. It is the primary city of the Lima Metropolitan Area which also encompasses the port and district of Callao (see Lima-Callao in Spanish language). The population of the city itself is 6.9 million, whilst the greater metropolitan area sustains a population of 8.1 million; in total, one-third of Perú's entire population.

Located on the Pacific coast, at the base of the Rímac, Chillón, and Lurín rivers, Lima is the fifth largest city in Latin America.

Also, Lima has it metro service.
