Paris Hack Weekend May 2023
What's the plan? / C'est quoi ?
We are having an OSM hack weekend in Paris, France on the 13-14 May 2023 week-end.
An OpenStreetMap "hack weekend" is a meet-up where you bring laptop, your ideas or your to-do-list and work or to discuss with other people. You will find people to discuss the details with you, or build something. There's work to do almost in any programming language, as well as tasks like documentation, and even some non-technical graphics design and translation tasks. We plan a fairly unstructured free-form format. People turn up and start beavering away on something, or they turn up and see what they can help with.

Un «Hack Weekend» OpenStreetMap est un évènement où vous venez avec votre ordinateur portable, vos idées ou votre todo liste et où vous travaillez ou discutez avec d’autres personnes. Vous pouvez discuter et construire des choses. Il y a du travail à faire dans presque tous les domaines, de la programmation, de la documentation et même des tâches non techniques comme de la conception graphique ou de la traduction. On prévoit un format assez libre, qui a déjà fait le succès des Hack Weekend en Allemagne. Les gens travaillent sur quelque chose ou voient ce qu’ils pourraient faire pour aider.

We meet at the Moji office à Nanterre, close to Paris. See Moji on OSM
The metro & train station La Défense Grande Arche is the closest to the office. Bus is available to reach Moji's office from La Défense : see lines 141 and 360. Nearest bus stop to Moji's office is Liberté - Plaideurs
Nous nous retrouverons dans les locaux de Moji à Nanterre, à 2 pas de Paris La Défense.
La station de métro & RER La Défense Grande Arche est la plus proche. De là, les bus 141 et 360 amènent directement à 50m des locaux de Moji : arrêt Liberté - Plaideurs

Food and drink / Nouriture et boissons
OSM France provides snacks and beverages, and pizza for both lunches and saturday's dinner.

Accommodation / Hébergement
You have to organize your accommodation yourself. Local OSM community might be willing to offer accommodation if you're interested, contact Christian or Vincent.

Schedule / Planning
Friday
- Pre-hack pub meet from 19:00. Everyone pays for themselves. Locationis a pub in Paris's center : Au Père Tranquille
Saturday
- 9:30 welcome to Moji's office. Doors will be closed with no ring to bell. Send a message to Vincent using OSM DM for more instructions on how to enter the building.
- 13:00 lunch
- 19:00 dinner
Sunday
