This page covers information relating to mapping of public bus services in the Philippines.
Service types
Both types of public bus service are regulated by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), an attached agency of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). Most services are run by private corporations or transport cooperatives under government franchise.
City bus
City bus networks exist in these regions:
- Metro Manila and surrounding provinces – franchised services (regular and premium express routes), plus some free services in Pasig, Quezon City and Ninoy Aquino International Airport
- Clark Freeport Zone – Clark Loop buses by Clark Development Corporation
- Metro Cebu – MyBus, Cebu Interim Bus System (CIBS, under City of Cebu and operated by Sugbo Tours) and some premium routes
- Davao City – Davao City Interim Bus System (run by Annil Trans and Mindanao Star)
Provincial
Provincial bus services range from intercity or regional coach lines to frequent-stop buses or minibuses, usually without air-conditioning.
