Playa Blanca is a town in the Yaiza municipality on the island of Lanzarote in the Spanish province of Las Palmas.

Progress

The earlier work on Playa Blanca was extended during a week's holiday in late July 2009 where EdLoach walked most of the eastern side of the town (occasionally interpolating from waypoints to increase coverage in the time available). There are some pedestrian ways in the centre though where only one end of them were noted which suggests that they don't go straight through between nearby ways as many such ways did, and these should be investigated when someone gets chance. This example shows the sort of area in question.

The area to the west of the centre could do with a similar level of survey. Bus route 30 190749 190749 (circular route) was completed up to stop 4 and from stop 18 onwards (time prevented the whole route being walked) and this too could be completed. Buses 6 and 8 run from Playa Blanca to other places on the island and route relations for these could perhaps also be added. Areas marked as landuse=construction or highway=construction should also be reviewed at intervals.
