Power networks/Philippines/Operators
Here is a list of electric utilities or cooperatives in the Philippines that will be used when tagging power-related infrastructure (power lines, towers/poles). The name of the operator may be the full name or acronym, but in some cases, the acronym or short name used in branding is preferred (e.g. Meralco for Manila Electric Company, Davao Light for Davao Light and Power Company). Franchise areas of distribution utilities (per Department of Energy) are included, because an utility or cooperative may include places other than its supposed franchise area.
Operator tagging presets for various utilities when mapping infrastructure are available on Name Suggestion Index (NSI). This includes NGCP, Meralco and some electric cooperatives whose networks have been partially mapped (e.g. BATELEC-2).
