Proposal
Rationale
Until now, barrier=shelf is the most commonly used way to tag shelfs. This poses the problem of subjective tagging. Objects should only be tagged barrier=* if their intended primary purpose is to be a barrier. A shelf's primary purpose is to store or display objects, but it's barrier-istic bahaviour is mostly an unintended consequence.
