Attribute of a highway?

I'm not so sure that this should be mapped as a node or with its own highway tag. A bus bay really isn't an entity of its own, but rather an attribute of a portion of a highway. In my opinion, this should be mapped as an added tag on a highway=* way for the length of the bus bay. Something like: highway=* + bus_bay=left|right|both --Alester (talk) 23:35, 6 April 2017 (UTC)

Can you please switch from bus_bay:access:left to bus_bay:left:access? This is how we already do it for sidewalks and cycleways. --Tordanik 23:07, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
