Proposal talk:Mobility hubs
Discussion on Mobility Hubs
My city (Nijmegen, NL) has introduced so called 'hubs', as areas where specific types of shared vehicles are allowed and encouraged to be parked. These are meant specifically for shared bikes, shared E-bikes, shared E-scooters and shared E-mopeds. These hubs are vendor agnostic and meant to be used by all the various operators of shared mobility devices. (E.g. Bolt, Felyx, Check and alike.) Hubs are clearly marked with signs and markings on the ground.
Firstly, should this be tagged as the proposed `amenity=mobility_hub`? - I think so, but since this is a vendor agnostic concept I am a little unsure.
Secondly, how should we denote what types of vehicles are allowed at each hub? Ideally we should be able to list all kinds of allowed shared vehicles.
- We have very similar areas in Berlin (where we "invented" amenity=mobility_hub for them) and we are using bicycle:rental=yes, electric_moped:rental=yes, small_electric_vehicle:rental=yes etc. to specify which vehicles can be parked/shared there. See this example. Supaplex030 (talk) 07:03, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
