Why exclusive NASCAR ?
Are not, at least, some of these things not just features of NASCAR facilities? For example a 'start finish line' is a feature of many sports and should not be exclusively tagged for each and every sport! Broader tagging should be used. From General to the Specific
I suggest you look at the Wikipedia entries for [1] and [2] as a start.
A brief look at some American race tracks showed most host events of many of these types.
Although it might seem that NASCAR is the unifying top level concept ( because they spend a lot of money on the brand ), for the purposes of a world wide map, it is actually only one of many racing associations that sanction races - see [3] ( ... and that is just the USA!). Which means NASCAR is one of the 'leaves' on the semantic 'tree' of your tagging scheme. The roots are the concepts that would be common to any competitive racing moving conveyance anywhere, any time in history in the world. There is a course, it's open or closed, it's permanent or temporary, there are places for spectators, various staging areas for the conveyances. The big limbs of your racing trunk might be those autoracing types mentioned in the wikipedia article, a smaller set of those is stock cars, and then NASCAR and any other associations present at a particular venue.
The 'test' is simple - if a concept ( like 'NASCAR' ) is removed from your scheme, does tagging for the place 'break', and how badly. There are formerly 'professional' tracks that have gone in and out of business, and some which eventually ended up operated by corporate firms, research and development organizations, and private invitation only clubs. If you were from Mars, on race days, they would look pretty much the same, the same things going on, the same structures, and you probably wouldn't notice the missing NASCAR logo.
