Proposal

This proposal provides for a simple, uniform way of specifying areas where people can be picked up or dropped off ("kiss and ride"), for features such as public transport stations, hospitals, schools, airports, etc. Parking is generally not allowed beyond the time necessary let passengers in and out of vehicles. This tag is designed for people only, and does not include goods loading/unloading bays.

Terms for this kind of feature are "kiss and ride", "pickup zone", "dropoff zone", "pick up and drop off area", "kiss and fly" (at airports).

The tag can be used on nodes at the centre of the feature, or as an area (may be easier when there is an indented bay, parking lines, or similar defined area).
