Proposed value
Intent: To mark a particular plant or animal location. My interest is in diving where coral is often a significant feature on a map. (Note: coral is an animal.) This may be useful for botanical gardens, natural parks, historic trees or territorial animals (especially if they are localized in a reliable place e.g. damsel fish).
A single or group of life forms may be marked. For example a single kelp (node) or a kelp forest (area).
This is a broader proposal than trees and functionally overlaps to a large extent.

Rendering
