Proposal

In this proposal was proposed to

• approve the tagging of postal_service:<service>=* to indicate a unified tagging of postal services in postal amenities (amenity=post_office, post_office=*, amenity=parcel_locker, amenity=post_box)
• deprecate the following tags:
  • parcel_pickup=*
  • parcel_mail_in=*
  • post_office:<service>=* with the subkey to indicate postal services
• amenity=post_box automaticly inplies postal_service:letter_mail_in=*

Rationale

There were some mapper In the proposal to introduce a new parcel lockers tagging (Proposed features/amenity=parcel locker) who oppose the actual tagging of the keys with *_from and *_to.

However, it makes sense to make tagging consistent across all post areas until they have become widespread.

Tagging

We introduce following postal services for the fabove listet postal amenities:

postal_service:packaging=*		sale of cardboard boxes, cushioning material, letter paper and envelopes. If there is a wider range of stationery items, please think abou tag the store as shop=stationery.
postal_service:post_bank=*		services of a "post office savings bank"
postal_service:id_check=*		Identity check for mobile phone contracts, account opening, De-Mail, etc.
