RocketData
Rocketdata.io is a service that helps business owners add correct info about their businesses to maps and navigation software, social networks etc. They are known for low quality paid mapping in repeated violation of OpenStreetMap rule. See Organised Editing/Rocketdata.io for partial listing.
Rationale
The import process goes through the following stages:
- Adding data by owners in the user account / Loading data from an import file provided by the business owner
- Manual data verification by company employees
- Automatic mapping of owner-assigned categories to OSM categories
- Company search through Overpass
- Comparing our data with OSM data
- Uploading data to cf_audit for verification
- Exporting data via JOSM

Community Consultation
We discuss all our imports using the forum - https://forum.openstreetmap.org/index.php, our posts can be found under the topic Importing data from company owners using the Rocketdata.io service and https://lists.openstreetmap.org/ for the countries of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. List of countries in which we operate companies - Saudi Arabia, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Tunisia, Georgia, Serbia, Greece, Chile, Croatia, Bulgaria, Panama.
