State of the Map 2013 (2013.stateofthemap.org) is the seventh annual OpenStreetMap conference and was held in Birmingham, England, from 6th to 8th September 2013.

Huge thanks to all the organisers of State Of The Map 2013. They did a terrific job of welcoming us to Birmingham. And thanks to everyone for coming, and making it another spectacular OpenStreetMappy get-together.

Photo Competition

The winning photo competition entry by Yuichiro Nishimura

For SotM 2013 we ran a "Most unusual object / sign / situation found whilst surveying” photo competition. See all the entries at /Competition. Yuichiro Nishimura was the winner (blog post)

Maptember

The geo-fun didn't stop there. There was whole bunch of mappy geo events in the UK throughout September. Check out "maptember.org" site. There was also OpenStreetMap meet-up events in Edinburgh and London in the following months. See Current Events for information about future meet-ups.

Programme

The programme was input and maintained on Lanyrd this year, and this offers some wiki-style editing. See Schedule of sessions.

Lanyrd allows "coverage" (photos/videos/slides) to be linked from session listings. Please join in with doing this by sharing your presentation slides, photos, links and write-ups. The table below indicates by background colour and text tag which coverage we already have (slides, video, both). The table also provides an easy to navigate version of the Lanyrd pages.
