Sacramento has active mapping, but no dedicated space or meetup for coordinating edits. As of 2022, some Sacramento mappers are discussing and coordinating projects and edit styles in the local_california channel of the OSMUS Slack.

Current Projects

Mappers are focusing on a few primary projects:

• Adding buildings with address data - talk to nicksantos in the OSMUS Slack if you want a copy of the Microsoft Building Footprint Data dataset that has address tags ready to use and import via JOSM
• Cleaning up earlier imports and digitizing, especially downtown where many ways, alleys, and service roads are angled on the map
• Adding footpath, sidewalk, and crossing data to support wheelchair and other accessibility routing
