Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) is a joint local public transport authority whose member municipalities are Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Sipoo, Siuntio and Tuusula. HSL began its operations in 2010.

We at HSL use OSM as the main map data source for all our maps - both digital and printed. We've created our own visual style for OSM. Our OSM based maps are visible eg. on route maps, stop posters and in our journey planner (Digitransit-project). The OSM digitransit wiki page, explains in detail how our resources eg. our Journey Planner (Reittiopas) use OSM data.

We edit OSM ourselves (users HSL_HRT & HSL_PALAUTE) and encourage the community to do so as well in order to improve our map's accuracy and our journey planner's routing & geocoding services.
