A plate is a really simple marker installed on a not dedicated support like a building wall. It indicates what is installed underground or indoor nearby most of the time.

This value doesn't cover situations where small plates are visible on a dedicated post, pedestal or stone.

Those plates are currently rolled out by Eau de Paris and gives several information about a near hydrant installed at stated distances from the marker. The hydrant is fed by water main of given diameter

Fire hydrant markers as used in Germany. The hydrant is fed by water main of given diameter. A reference number may be given in the upper right corner, but this is not the reference of the plate, but of the hydrant itself, so it should be added to the emergency=fire_hydrant node.
