A Globe valve is really different from valve=ball and support less pressure delta. It consists in a static cage where flow regulation is done by a movable disk. Such valves can ensure complete isolation of fluid in a pipeline.

We use to find them in domestic appliances or on industrial small or medium sized pipes.
