Hi all, with this page I intend to document what Bing MapBuilder does and how it evolved over time. Additionally, I want to use it as jumping pad to gather relevant links to various decisions and controversies, so that other pieces of software can see what expected behaviour is. Can Map Builder accounts receive/respond to OSM Direct Messages?

I've noticed a few Map Builder accounts in my neck of the woods, and send them a DM to say "hello" and for feedback. I'm not sure though if these accounts can receive/respond to direct messages. Does anyone know? --GOwin (talk) 02:42, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

(As a dev from Map builder team) Just to add that we are moving towards SSO, so users will be able to signup using their own emails. As part of this, we are also working on Messaging API, so if this goes through (hopefully), any OSM client can show and read/write messages directly (as we plan to offer in Map builder and try to increase percentage of replies of users) --Stalker (talk) 09:06, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
