Track vs. Path
OverkillTASF - I think the best summary of this comes from ADVRider "abhibeckert". Track: Not paved, narrow enough to make passing difficult or impossible for cars. Path: Not paved and so narrow that even two motorcycles would have trouble passing each other.

One-way difficulties
Options have been proposed including tagging a single node to describe this, or breaking these sections of trail into two sections.
OverkillTASF - So far I don't much like any of the proposed ways of tagging this. It seems a bit too granular, but if someone came up with an elegant solution, that might change my mind.

Keep this page

I think this page should be kept, and in fact elevated to a tag or a condition of motorcycle (motorcycle:dirtbike=*). There are many trails in Michigan designated for off-highway motorcycle (dirt bike) use, restricted to a narrow width, 24", with fenced width-restrictors at road crossings and trailheads. See the long, long list of designated motorcycle trails, most of which form the 750-mile Michigan Cross Country Cycle trail (MCCT): https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/things-to-do/orv-riding/maps-list. For the narrow width motorcycle-only trails I have been tagging with "highway=path", and creating route relations with route=motorcycle, however do you really expect a motorcycle route of this type to be rode on a Honda Goldwing road bike, or Honda 250 dual-sport bike? I think this would create issues when routing, thus qualifying the motorycle access tag to something like motorcycle:dirtbike would be a significant improvement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skunkman56 (talk • contribs) 19:28, 11 April 2022

I would like to rework this page as well as the dirtbike:scale table. Planning to use both tags here in northern Thailand for both access (some national parks' trails have signs forbidding offroad motorcycles) and difficulty tagging. How do I go forward with this? how do I reach original authors? what's the best to communicate? I think direct communication would be easier but I am not sure how to find contact emails from existing users. (CMOffroad)
