two questions:

I guess UCL is the University in London, right? For the foundation members that cannot be at UCL for the AGM07, is there a possibility to participate in the votes? Would a live audio feed be possible? Maybe link in those members via IRC? - RalfZ 13:41, 19 July 2007

• Can we give root access to someone

License Stuff

• Do we e-mail everyone to assign copyright to the foundation?
• What deal do we offer people - e.g. the foundation will always make the data available CC-by-sa for 10 years, then make it public domain (no need to keep copyright longer than the OS' 50 years)

If this deal has to be our solution, then guarantee MUST be given to users that the licence over the data will stay the same (see the cups story, where the copyright holder just sold the code and th copyright). Making it public domain after 10 years is tough, though: Are you going to put only data that is over 10 years old under public domain, or also data that was added only a couple of days before the release? Anyway, sounds like a reasonnable copyright solution to me. -- Yann 19:52, 19 July 2007

Other stuff

Rjmunro would like to propose that the foundation start it's own website separate from the main openstreetmap.org website, like http://musicbrainz.org/ and http://metabrainz.org/. This website will have all the details of the foundation and it's articles of association etc., and an official blog with foundation news that should say things like "minutes of board meeting of date nnn now available". This could be aggregated into the opengeo data blog or anywhere else, but should have it's own home so that it is clear what is official and what isn't.

Would make sense; The wikimedia foundation also is separate from wikipedia. So is verein.ubuntu-de.org from www.ubuntu-de.org . -- Yann 19:52, 19 July 2007
