Talk:Import/Catalogue/Denmark Import
Sounds interesting
Hej, that sounds quite interesting and could save a lot of time, which then could be spend mapping other things.
I think a bot for the buildings will be more complex and difficult then AutoAWS for the address, since they are polygons and not just nodes. I don't know much about bots or the quality of the data source(BBR) but I think just erasing and replacing all buildings is not an option since the already mapped buildings have tags beyond the information imported. We could try to somehow figure out which building in OSM corresponds to which building of the BBR and make a tag for that (probably semi-automatic) and then import the information. If we have a tag for the buildings' ID in BBR we could start small like just importing buildings' roof:material=* and then later on use the ID-tag for importing more and more info fully automatic. These are just my thoughts and ideas.

BBR actually has a datafield describing the quality of the data for each building. So it would be possible to "pick the cherries out of the pie". A good bot wil also respect existing tags, and allow for a "don't touch this" tag. But yes, I definitely agree with your thoughts.
