Talk:JOSM/Plugins/Kendzi3D/tutorial/windows
- The page says that for window nodes "tag level=1,2,5,11-15 it is used currently", but I can't make it work in the plugin (v.193): I get a single window on the ground level, not a column of windows, even though the building concerned is a multilevel one; is this actually implemented in the plugin? - Sorry for my English. By this sentence I tried to say that people use tag level to tag things on different levels, not that it is implemented. Please consider this page more like ideas for windows tagging which need to be work out. From that four examples only relation type=clone:height should be working currently. But it should be easy to add level tag too. --Kendzi (talk) 16:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- How should a typical multilevel building (with a matrix of windows) be tagged, assuming that on the ground level one or more "windows" are actually doors (entrances)? Since this is an overwhelmingly common case, I think tagging it should be possible in a fairly simple way (ie. without involving multiple relations etc.)? --Max (talk) 13:31, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Can you give some examples? Best some images? We need to work it out. --Kendzi (talk) 16:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, these are just some random samples from my city: [1] [2] [3] [4]; around here, most multilevel residential buildings look like some variation of that. Admittedly, often the column of windows above the entrance (the windows of the staircase) look a bit different from the rest of the windows of the block, but the simplified net result is still a matrix of windows, one of which on the ground level being "replaced" by the entrance. In OSM, that would mean a node that is both a door (on level 0) and a bunch of windows (on every other level above it)... --Max (talk) 13:18, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
building=window
Can you fix a bug in the tutorial?
building=windows
doesn't work, but building=window
is OK.
Also, I can not tag a single window above the door.
