Dedicated kitchen

For restaurants with diet:gluten=yes, as I understand, it is important to know if they have dedicated kitchen for gluten-free food, to avoid cross-contamination. Maybe it is also needed for a food manufactures. No need for this information in case of diet:gluten=only.

I assume that if a restaurant declares that it serves gluten-free food, it means that they do not fry a gluten-free dish in the same pan in which a breaded cutlet was fried moments before.

But we're only a map, and we can't verify this other than to believe the restaurant's declaration of what they state on the menu. Gluten-free people should ask on the spot. Because not all restaurants are aware of it. maro21 16:09, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

As I understand, often food places (restaurants/manufactures) with diet:gluten=yes don't have dedicated area. At least in Wrocław. I have a colleague who should eat gluten-free food only, and she gets some information, so I can add such information to OSM. For example, the Hard Rock Cafe [has dedicated kitchen https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/142338218], but I don't know how to mark it. --Vazhnov Alexey (talk) 18:11, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
