Talk:Key:genus:en
@Jeisenbe:: thanks for creating, but wouldn't it be better to add this information to Key:genus? Otherwise we effectively asking to create one page per language - that's a LOT of work (especially if we also start translating - that's N^2 pages just for this key alone :)). We should still add short descriptions to the corresponding data items of course, but the language-specific page should just be a redirect. Thanks! --Yurik (talk) 16:15, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
I agree that it would be extra work to make a page for every key like genus:de, genus:fr etc - but I made this page because it has been used over 150,000 times and was one of the most frequently used keys without a wiki page. I don't think this page should be translated, because it's about a language-specific key. However, I wouldn't be too upset if it is redirected; the main information lost by a redirect would be the line about common values used and the history - most were imports and tagged in combination with natural=tree. --12:18, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
