Questionable usage
This key sounds to propagate a power generator (device) property to power plant perimeter (a site). An elaborated logic has been setup to make a logical link between power=generator and power=plant features and make this information redundant between them two break it up. Redundancy and lack of sense of sentences like This power plant is a Pelton turbine one may be good reasons to not use this key as described currently. Fanfouer (talk) 08:43, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- How is combined cycled power plant handled currently? Can one separately represent the gas and steam turbine (exist inside)? ---- Kovposch (talk) 11:45, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
- I think you're looking for generator:plant=* key.
- I was thinking it would be useful to show a power plant as a whole is using CCGT, on top of showing what each individual turbine inside it is doing (if this has been detailed). Taking this further, if a power plant hasn't been detailed, showing that it is combined cycle, or even composed of only a certain kind of generator, is still useful.
- Currently, plants which combine solar PV, geothermal and wind turbines are found. How a semi-colon list on the power=plant would be more relevant than a post-process analysis about what generator is part of the plant? Solving such a need on the plant instead of every and each generator could cause harm to the whole model actually Fanfouer (talk) 21:57, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

- Giving more details, especially splitting power plans processes with several intermediate different generator devices is on its way, here is a test on a nuclear power plant Fanfouer (talk) 18:48, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
