Inscription with language code
MUTCD/California/R#R62: Push Button recommends tactile_writing:braille:en=yes and optionally inscription:en-Brai=⠠⠏⠠⠥⠠⠎⠠⠓ ⠠⠃⠠⠥⠠⠞⠠⠞⠠⠕⠠⠝ ⠠⠋⠠⠕⠠⠗ ⠠⠏⠠⠑⠠⠙⠠⠑⠠⠎⠠⠞⠠⠗⠠⠊⠠⠁⠠⠝ ⠠⠺⠠⠁⠠⠗⠠⠝⠠⠊⠠⠝⠠⠛ ⠠⠇⠠⠊⠠⠛⠠⠓⠠⠞⠠⠎ ⠠⠉⠠⠗⠠⠕⠠⠎⠠⠎ ⠠⠺⠠⠊⠠⠞⠠⠓ ⠠⠉⠠⠁⠠⠥⠠⠞⠠⠊⠠⠕⠠⠝ for a standard sign type in California. If the inscription is known, the fully-qualified BCP 47 subkey is be a good way to indicate it along with the language in which the Braille text is written. Braille has the script code Brai
, and Moon type has the script code Moon
. Fakoo doesn't seem to have an ISO 15924 script code, unfortunately. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 19:55, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Since there is language:*=*, using tactile_writing:language:*-*=* may make it more structured. When there is no other attributes in the mix, it can be simplified to language:*-*=*. --- Kovposch (talk) 10:27, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- *:*_printed_letters=* is quite verbose. That can probably be shortened to *:en-Latn=*, depending on how to handle embossed and engraved.
- Is there an extension code for computer Braille, or maybe private format for Fakoo too?
