Talk:Philippines/Data sources
This page is too cluttered. We need to break them into subpages. The main should just provide short summary of each import.
- Agreed. I'll try doing that this weekend. --seav 12:41, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Should we remove the Best Of OpenStreetMap template from this page? (since that template is now used at the Naga City page) - Ianlopez1115 12:40, 4 October 2012 (BST)
Re: schadow1
I don't think schadow1 contributions qualifies as an import. It is better to detail what data was actually imported. Maning (talk) 03:58, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
- This is regarding some of those unique data that my account has contributed to both OSM and other online maps that where sourced out from expeditions that have been funded by donation from the travel site. (eg. Jomalig, Palay-palay, etc.). Although not all of my contributions as a user were tagged as one as not all are due to it. Let me know if this is inappropriate or not, and I will remove this from the wiki. Schadow1 (talk)
My definition of an import are data coming from third party sources. IMO, what you do is collect primary data (either funded or not) which I think is better than an import. For me, categorizing some of your contributions as an import somehow "downgrades" what your have contributed. Maning (talk) 11:22, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
