Advice for routers

Routers may wish to apply a (small) penalty for motor vehicles on quiet lanes. As stated, although vehicles are not prohibited, drivers are required to take extra caution and should expect to have to slow down or stop, giving way to other road users. Additionally, although designation as a quiet lane does not automatically alter the speed limit applied, many may have reduced advisory speed limits.
For pedestrians, horse riders, and cyclists, routers may wish to give a slight bump to the routing score for quiet lanes. Casey boy (talk) 09:52, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
