Individual politician?
Does this tag apply to an individual politician's office? They are (normally) part of a political party. Or is it only for a larger "headquarter" type offices? I note some uses of this tag for individual MP's offices in the UK. I also note some use of office=politician but this isn't nearly as widely adopted. Casey boy (talk) 14:18, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Could be both too. It's possible a politician's office function as the local headquarters/branch of the party in a district.
- For legislators, neither office=political_party nor office=politician exactly shows they are elected and holding the office now . They might be used by other members, or have other functions.
- The semantics of office=government is more on the executive branch, or the whole legislature, rather than individual members. There are some scattered variations in government=* about MP, senators, representatives, etc. Nothing for councilors at a glance. --- Kovposch (talk) 03:05, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- office=politician seems nicer, but office=political_party is also not horrifically wrong Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 07:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks both. I've added some description as well as creating the office=politician page. Casey boy (talk) 20:01, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
