Talk:Tag:railway=train station entrance
This tag has been used over 700 times according to [1] but there is no wiki for it nor could I find an according proposal.
There are also a few railway=entrance and railway=station_entrance tags in the OSM data but train_station_entrance seems to be the main value. The reason behind is that it needs to be possible to map a station entrance which belongs to a railway station rather to a subway station. This is actually necessary in many cases. However, what to do if it´s a combination of both, subway and railway?

When typing in different values i found this tag. Seems very useful.
Train stations that share an entrance with a subway are considered train station entrances assuming "train station entrance" is an accepted tag.

How is it different from railway=subway_entrance
We are using railway=subway_entrance for all railway stations regardless of the type of rail transport. -Miklcct (talk)
