Convenção em português

Oi pessoal!

Legal ver que isso aqui tá ficando mais movimentado! Parabéns ao Brito e ao colega que está mapeando BH - o mapa está fantástico!

Seria legal que a gente criasse alguma convenção em português, não? Eu nunca sei o que escolho para classificar as ruas, avenidas, aquelas mais importantes, etc.

Actually we already have Pt:Map Features, but it wasn't linked for some reason. Needs a bit of work too.
Also if you want to, feel free to change the text of WikiProject Brazil to be all written in Portuguese, and also the São Paulo (I wrote them in English because I don't speak Portuguese)
Na verdade nós já temos Pt:Map Features, mas não estava mostrando o link por alguma razão. Mas em todo caso, ainda precisa ser melhorado. Se você quiser, fique a vontade para traduzir todo o texto de WikiProject Brazil e São Paulo. (eu os escrevi em inglês pois eu nao falo português).

State Borders - Estados

Can somebody help getting the state borders in? The borders between states should be admin_level=4 and when a state is completely surrounded add left= and right= (I write in English since my portuguese still is limited) --Skippern 03:23, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Its possible to download the shapefile of state borders and even city borders from IBGE site. I don't know exactly how to do this, but first we must assure if this kind of data is copyrighted. -Vgeorge- 9 September 2008

I have checked out the shapefiles and such from the Geominas site, which is public domain, but I do not have software to read them. From work I could read the shapes but not the values (I could see the shape of each state, but not derive any possitions). If border data is not in the public domain, maybe we can send a request to IBGE to liberate it for OSM? --Skippern 01:28, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

O "continental shelf" e dividido por estado, este indicar que presisamos marcear o fronteira estadual ate o fronteira nacional 22km no mar. Acho interessante que os limites municipais/estaduais nos dados geográficos do IBGE sempre seguem a linha da costa (com precisão baixa), enquanto a fronteira nacional é situada bem mais longe da costa ... Pode ser que isso reflete que "terreno da marinha" (que inclui ± qualquer área onde existe inundação pela maré) é da união, mas não sob administração das unidades políticas inferiores (?) --Ulf Mehlig 11:19, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Eu não cohencer o lei federal das fronteiras, mas tudos mapas eu ver do industrio petroleo tem o divição estadual ate 200nm no mar ou mais. Gerentes do Petrobras dizer que os estados ganhar emposto do renda dos poços no estado. Ate agora eu vi este no fronteira RJ/ES que dividir bacia do Campos e o fronteira SP/RJ. --Skippern 12:49, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Reformulação da Página Principal

Olá! Gostaria de propor uma reformulação da página principal do Projeto Brasil.

A página está um pouco poluída, talvez seja interessante fazermos um "índice" de tudo que tem no wiki ou fora dele, como o fórum e outras fontes de informações. Um dos maiores problemas do projeto é que as informações são redundantes

Se reunimos mapeadores que salvam seus trabalhos simultaneamente, não haverão problemas de conflitos de diff? Há "instruções de resolução" sobre isso ou simplesmente devemos determinar que os escopos dos mapeadores não tenha interseção? Pode ser impossível dividir por quarteirões...

No grupo de Telegram @OSMBrasil_Comunidade iniciou-se uma discussão sobre a reformulação desta página. As sugestões de mudança, são:

  1. Reduzir o tamanho do mapa e deslocá-lo para direita (vgeorge);
  2. Dividir o conteúdo em categorias (iniciante, etiquetas, canais, edição) (vgeorge);
  3. Organizar em caixas ou tópicos (vgeorge);

Discussão e mais sugestões

Inglês/WikiProject_Brazil

Eu estava pensando em traduzir esta página pro inglês, pra "vai que existam" pessoas querendo ler essa página e só encontrando a versão em português. O que vocês acham? E se eu fizer isso, deveria seguir o padrão de deixar em português a página Pt:WikiProject_Brazil e usar a página WikiProject_Brazil para versão em inglês?


A abordagem que prefiro é a do WikiProjekt da Alemanha, que está no idioma local. Esta página é o ponto de partida para a comunidade local, acho ruim que a página padrão esteja em inglês. Poderia ser feito redirecionamento como o Chile e Espanha fizeram, mas acho melhor deixar como está e colocar um link "About the Brazilian Community", com informações em inglês. --vgeorge (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

Faz sentido, Vitor. Mas eu acho que seria melhor se o nome da página em inglês fosse mais parecido com o nome da página oficial. Que tal "WikiProject Brazil translated". poderia colocar o link logo no começo da página wiki, ou bem no final. Pt:Place template

I've reverted the last change of User:Verdy p because Template:Pt:Place is not fully translated (has parts in English) and includes a map that is bad for this page. A new mapper can browse Brazil much better the at www.osm.org and probably already done so before reaching this page. If anyone really thinks a map is needed here, please change the template or create one specific for this page to make the map smaller and to have lower hierarchy on the page. --vgeorge (talk) 21:16, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

But this template was there since long and you alone decided to remove all the links that were in the box (contributed by various people). If one item is not transalted, there's a place for doing that. I don't see any map problem ! Dropping everything is definitely not a solution. — Verdy_p (talk) 21:24, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
Better explain what is your problem then. I don't see really what it is. May be you need help to fix some item.
The map map also be removed with a parameter (see my last edit, it is using a documented parameter present in all similar templates, including the English version), but it was there to assert this was the correct position. — Verdy_p (talk) 21:27, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
User:Verdy p, I've removed the template some time ago because it was not fully translated (and with the map) and making the page confusing. I'm sorry I've reverted your translated version, I had the old version on cache. There are still some links untranslated (America del Sur, South America), which I can look later, but the page looks much better now without the map. The link targets will go to a Portuguese version... provided they exist and are correctly linked from the Languages bar at top of English pages. There's no Portuguese version for now for South America... Go translate it if you wish, do it correctly (as instructed in documentation, yes it may be a bit technical at the begining but there's not a lot to learn and there are countless working examples for lot of languages), then refresh this page by a null edit, you'll see that it will go to the correct page.
This is the way we work on this wiki: we translate progressively but we don't break things only because a translation is not fully complete: that's the only way to progress. — Verdy_p (talk) 21:57, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Page re-organization

It seems to me that this page is now very confusing in terms of how the information is presented. I think its main goal should be to provide a broad view of the Brazilian community and its projects. I've looked at others pages of Wikiprojects for countries and I like the approach of WikiProject United States. My proposed changes are:

  • Write a better introductory paragraph;
  • Create a table with links to local groups and make it high in the page hierarchy;
  • Move links to projects to an specific page, where they would be categorized into "Active", "Needing maintenance" and "Completed";
  • Remove "Situação do Mapeamento" as it is a information hard to maintain in the wiki.
