I do not quite see it. In the Map rendering column, there is no information and that was previously there. Also in the column comment is much less information. Before you change anything, you should make sure it is better or equally good. --geozeisig (talk) 06:24, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Geozeisig, I understand your point.
- The fact is some wiki pages won't be updated if we don't put them in visibility.
- TagList template is really making wiki information redundancy lower and everyone (including me) is welcome to update keys and values scorecards to complete those lists.
- One edit will update few tools outside of this wiki, which is more sustainable than completing a single list.
- Furthermore displaying render from osm.org can be put in debate since not all features are on it (for power particularly)
- Be sure I'm spending time to update both description, groups and pictures on English and French pages. Fanfouer (talk) 18:46, 9 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, The only icon at power=tower is not to be seen with me. I use Firefox 50.1. I took a snapshot:[1].
- And I find the svg icons should be displayed in double size. This should be changed. Perhaps you need another parameter for this. Or you can read the size of osmcarto-rendering-size in the head of ValueDescription.
- I also noticed on the Talk:Taginfo/Taglists page the error png. The answer from Joto I'll fix that as soon as I can.. Maybe someone can help? --geozeisig (talk) 08:09, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- The change from the 8th of jan is a great step back. There are languages that were previously 100% translated but now contain many English texts. For example Czech Template:Cs:Map_Features:power now has 14 English texts. Please undo your changes with taglists. --geozeisig (talk) 08:29, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, please revert to the pre 8 January version! All translations are now gone, such as the Danish one. Please do the following: 1. Revert to the version before the 8 January update. 2. Move the template to Template:Generic:Map_Features:power (this in order to preserve the history of this template). 3. When it has been moved create a new Template:Map_Features:power with the content of the 8 January update. 4. All translated templates will need to be edited to include the Generic version of the template to keep the translated content visible in the Map Features. --polderrunner (talk) 11:17, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, please don't move the template to Template:Generic:Map_Features:power, but copy the pre-taglist version there instead. The reason is that the "generic" version will become obsolete once all languages have migrated to taglists, and we probably don't want the history to be deleted along with the "generic" template in that case. This also matches the recommended procedure on Taginfo/Taglists/Wiki project. Apart from that detail, I agree with geozeisig and polderrunner that the breakage of the translated versions needs to be fixed. --Tordanik 12:38, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
- The translations can cleverly be fixed up by moving translated descriptions to keys' pages. This can be done (and I would do it immediatly if my free time wasn't so thick this month) pretty automatically. I find this more efficient than creating intermediate pages (which can stay here for years without someone's action). Fanfouer (talk) 14:47, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

- Would it be ok to try switching to a taglist again, following the correct procedures this time? --Jeisenbe (talk) 04:32, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
Remove power=connection?
The tag power=connection was added to this list in 2018 by Penegal, but there was no documentation other than a picture and short description. I don't really understand how this tag is supposed to be used, but I made a stub page to document it at Tag:power=connection. However, I think it should be removed from Map Features, since it does not appear to have been discussed. --Jeisenbe (talk) 10:27, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
- Connections were part of Proposed_features/Power_paths_refinement#Connections but was refused. I think it's ok to use and document it as it wasn't a topic of opposition.
- I've completed the page with examples and common tags Fanfouer (talk) 17:05, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- I consider it "bad form" to add a tag to Map Features after the proposal has been
rejected(abandoned actually). Could you please ask about this tag on the Tagging mailing list at least, to make sure there is no opposition or problems? If you have time, why not make a small, short proposal to get it approved? It could just be for this one tag "power=connection", and the page is made so it would not be hard to copy it into a formal proposal. Of course this is not required to use the tag, but it is the correct way to get it added to Map Features. --Jeisenbe (talk) 01:38, 2 March 2020 (UTC)- That's right the proposal wasn't voted and that would worth to cut it in smaller pieces. Ok to make a proposal with it, I just need time to gather situations in substations too where there are many connections like those ones (without support, in the middle of lines sections). For now it's ok to remove it from map features obviously Fanfouer (talk) 21:13, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
