Official Park Boundaries
The US National Park Service only recognizes park boundaries published by the NPS Land Resources Division.
We recommend that OSM Mappers editing NPS boundaries use only the official published park boundaries produced by the National Park Service. Editing park boundaries sourced from local parcel records, etc, may lead to boundary encroachment issues that only a professionally licensed surveyor can resolve.

These data and related graphics (i.e. GIF or JPG format files) are not legal documents and are not intended to be used as such. During 2019-2020 a draft proposal emerged at United_States/Public_lands#National_Park_Service. This updates the above recommendation (last edited in 2013) with this ongoing (2020-Q3) draft.
