The OpenStreetMap US Virtual Mappy Hours are held on a regular (currently monthly). Signing up is now required. There is a link on this page for each event. Join us!

Virtual Conferences

Mapping USA 2025: January 24-25

Registration is now open for Mapping USA 2025, and the event website is live. The Call for Proposals opened on October 25, 2024 and will close at midnight EST on November 25, 2024, the form is available on the event website. Registration is free, with a suggested $10 donation from non-OpenStreetMap US members.

Mapping USA 2024: January 19-20

The free virtual conference hosted two days of talks, workshops, birds of a feather sessions, and all things OpenStreetMap. Watch recorded talks and see the past program at the Mapping USA 2024 page.

Mapping USA 2022: November 10-12

Hosted by OpenStreetMap US, the second annual Mapping USA was a free virtual event celebrating the OpenStreetMap community across the country. It featured two collaborations: OSGeo's in-person FedGeoDay conference in Washington, DC scheduled for November 3rd and Wiki Conference North America. Mapping USA 2021: May 20-22

This virtual event was a celebration of all things OpenStreetMap and our community.We took a virtual road trip through OpenStreetMap across the United States. Registration was free! Learn more at the Mapping USA page.

OpenStreetMap US: Connect 2020:

Connect 2020 was a free, virtual event to celebrate OpenStreetMap and our community. The event included an informal Mappy Hour Thursday evening, a scheduled ½ day of talks on Friday, and a day of workshops, birds of a feather sessions and mapathons on Saturday. An annual virtual gathering enables people from across the country to learn about OpenStreetMap and network with fellow mappers. A Mapathon is a coordinated mapping event. It is often held inside but can also be an outside or combined activity. OpenStreetMap US is happy to host and support with outreach for your virtual mapathon. Sign up here for an event or to let us know you'd like to host!
