Astrid Emde is an active member of the OSGeo Foundation (http://osgeo.org) and of the FOSSGIS e.V. (http://fossgis.de) which is the representation of the german speaking local chapter of the OSGeo. She is also involved in the OSGeo-Live Project (http://live.osgeo.org/).
