OpenStreetMap data for civil defense use
- References
- Notes:
- Protocol I, Article 61, item xv, "planning and organization", requires real word proofs that is used[note 1]
- It's strongly advisable to have at least one external identifier (see w:Authority control) for each of this feature, with well documented tagging conventions. Without this, reuse and consistency check is strongly limited[note 2]
- This is a very important attribute, but it changes over time. MUST have the date of the information, MUST have source, it's RECOMMENDED that the source is national or international authority on the topic, it's RECOMMENDED that all features with this attribute and source are not out of sync with each other.[note 3]
Summary
- Category: informal term, mostly used to disambiguate when a features or group of features are used for different proposes. Example: rivers can be used for transport, but also can signal flood prone areas.
