Mapnik rendered uk map of railway=* data. Made searchable by a modified namefinder.
todo (roughly in order of priority):
- add key to colours (active, abandoned, lightrail, tram, subway, preserved, etc)
- add local permalink
- make it routable (using pyroutelib2? Gosmore seems unwieldy and incapable of using railways)
- find a way of re-rendering only changed tiles, and script the whole update procedure
- add extra zoom levels (especially important for London stations which are close together)
- make lines prettier, possibly colouring based on line name
- pull in national rail data to improve routing
- increase area covered (primarily ireland to fix routing issues) and add ferries
