Ongoing project to standardize mapping across all overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Some overlooks are mapped as just the parking area, some are mapped as just a viewpoint, and a few are missing entirely.
Mapping Techniques
Completion criteria:
- Parking mapped, if any (preferably as area)
- Parking drive mapped, if any
- Viewpoint, if applicable
- Amenities (trash, picnic tables, structures, walkways)
The overlook name should be mapped as signed on 1) the parking drive, and 2) the tourism=viewpoint if it exists, or the parking feature otherwise.
Tagging should include the BRP milepost value and the elevation, unsure where this should go.
