The Division of State Parks of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR), doing business as Missouri State Parks, maintains a system of 93 state parks and designated historic sites totaling more than 160,000 acres of land.^[1] Both categories are combined under the state park system.

Missouri State Parks frequently lumps the museum in with Jefferson Landing as the same conceptual entity. On another page they say Jefferson Landing State Historic Site is at the Missouri State Museum. They should be mapped as distinct features; the museum is in the state capitol building, and the landing site is a nearby area containing multiple cultural features. They have distinct webpages:
