About us

Founded in April 2021, YouthMappers@Uniba is a group of volunteer students, PhD students and researchers, based at the Department of Earth and Geoenvironmental Sciences of the University of Bari 'Aldo Moro'. The aim is to promote, especially among students, mapping activities through OpenStreetMap, with humanitarian and environmental sustainability purposes. Currently YouthMappers@Uniba is the second Italian chapter to join the international YouthMappers, after the PoliMappers chapter (Politecnico di Milano). Next activities include the organisation of events (mapathon), in order to involve and train young students in the use of the tools necessary for humanitarian mapping.
